Sujoy Bhattacharyya was a Senior Research Associate working at EPoD India at IFMR in environmental protection, technology adoption, and capacity-building. His portfolio includes piloting novel methods of monitoring air pollution, evaluating the impact of green products on the lives of women in rural India, and building the skills and motivations of institutions to effectively use evidence. Prior to working at EPoD India, Sujoy was a Research Fellow working with Professors Rohini Pande and Anant Sudarshan on projects investigating India’s environmental regulatory framework and improving the efficiency of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act. Sujoy’s past experience lies in physics, where he researched materials for hydrogen storage at Oberlin College and astrophysical models at NASA. He has a B.A. in Economics and Physics from Oberlin College.
