Nikolaus Axmann was a Research Fellow working with Professors Rohini Pande and Erica Field on financial inclusion projects in rural India. He has a BA in Economics from Duke University. Nikolaus is interested in financial inclusion, education, and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) applications to development. He has experience working on primary education research projects in Kenya, Nepal and Malawi and has worked in mobile education interventions in East Africa. Nikolaus previously worked with a microfinance institution in Santiago, Chile and is passionate about expanding access to finance, particularly among the rural poor.
