Person Description

Landin Smith is a PhD student in Economics at UC Berkeley. His research focuses on human capital and labor mobility in both developed and developing countries.  His current projects study the marketplace for private tutors in Pakistan, the role of technology in improving education outcomes in developing countries, and how public education investments influence household migration decisions in the US.  He holds an MA from Yale University in International and Development Economics and a BA from the University of Mississippi in International Studies.
