EPoD Co-Director, Dr. Rema Hanna, has recently published a paper in the Journal of Political Economy entitled "Tangible Information and Citizen Empowerment: Identification Cards and Food Subsidy Programs in Indonesia." Dr. Hanna's paper focuses on an experiment in Indonesia, analyzing the effects of using mailing cards with program information designed to target beneficiaries in 550 villages, ultimately to reduce leakage and increase uptake of government subsidy programs.
