Person Description

Carolyn Tsao was a Research Fellow at EPoD working with Professors Rohini Pande and Erica Field on financial inclusion in India since 2016. She is now pursuing a PhD in Economics at Princeton University. Her interests include education, health, and behavioral economics, and she is passionate about research that strives to improve the well-being of others. Carolyn has worked on the impact of village banking in rural India project as a key contributor on the analysis and harmonization of an incredibly complex dataset. Prior to joining EPoD, Carolyn worked at the University of Toronto on projects examining Canada-US differences, including differences in community college completion rates and in mortality rate trends. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Economics from the University of Victoria, a Major in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Victoria, and an MA in Economics from the University of Toronto, where she studied as a Doctoral Stream master's student specializing in econometrics.
