Much has been made recently of the dearth of women and particularly women leaders in the tech sector. Yet a less recognized trend is that in many parts of the world, a gender gap also persists amongst users of tech – particularly internet and mobile phones. Join the Women and Public Policy Program (WAPPP) and Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) for a conversation with Ankhi Das, Director of Public Policy for Facebook in India and South & Central Asia to discuss how gender gaps exist for both users and for leaders in the tech world as well as strategies to bring more women online. The event will be in dialogue with Professor Rohini Pande, the Rafik Hariri Professor of International Political Economy, co-director of EPoD, and WAPPP faculty affiliate.
The event takes place Friday, February 9th from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm in the Cason Seminar Room (WAPPP Conference room).
