Zara Ali was a Research Fellow working with Rema Hanna and Rohini Pande on labor market projects in Saudi Arabia. Prior to joining EPoD, she worked as a researcher at the Economic Development unit at the UN Economic and Social Commission in Beirut, contributing to reports on the economic drivers of the Arab Spring and the formation of a Gulf trade union. She has also worked at Endeavor Jordan, an NGO supporting high-impact entrepreneurship, where she contributed to the annual impact report and helped assess applicant companies based on business models, growth potential, and fit with Endeavor. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from New York University and a Master’s degree in International and Development Economics from Yale University.
