Person Description

Tilman Graff is a PhD candidate in Economics at Harvard University. His research interests lie at the intersection of spatial, development, and macroeconomics.

In his work, Tilman seeks to understand how the geography and network structure of economic activity shape the effectiveness and propagation of development policies. Specifically, he is currently investigating which macroeconomic forces determine the impacts of cash transfers in rural Kenya, how economic production networks react to anticipated future shocks, and what transport policymakers in Jakarta should consider when designing a better bus network.
