Tamara Mathai is a Policy Manager at EPoD India. She works on EPoD’s policy dialogues, outreach, events, managing institutional relationships and hiring among others. She led the planning of ‘Smart Policy for Women’s Economic Empowerment’, a multi-nation gender policy dialogue hosted in Kathmandu in 2017, ‘Shrinking Shakti’ hosted in New Delhi in 2016 and provided oversight for ‘Answering the Call: Putting the World in Women’s hands’ hosted in New Delhi in 2017.

She has in the past supported EPoD’s research projects before transitioning to a management focused role. She previously worked with London Borough of Southwark as part of their strategy, planning and performance team, with UK Parliament on public engagement and outreach, and with the University of London. Prior to which, she was with Ernst & Young for almost four years working with clients mainly in the international tax consulting and advisory services domain. She holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Nottingham, a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from Bangalore University, and an advanced level accounting qualification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
