Simone Passarelli is a fourth-year PhD candidate in Population Health Sciences, studying Nutrition at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health. She received her B.S. in International Agriculture from Cornell University, and her M.S. in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from Tufts University. Simone has worked at the International Food Policy Research, Care International, Action Against Hunger, and the World Food Programme. Her current research in East Africa focuses on the linkages between agricultural systems, diet quality, environmental health risks, and maternal and child nutritional status using both quantitative and qualitative methods.
