Person Description

Shresth is a fifth year PhD student in the Economics Department. His current research focuses on how government interventions, including subsidies, tariffs, price controls, safety mandates, etc., impact market outcomes. In a current project, Shresth looks at the impact of subsidies and other support by the government on the outcomes in the Indian agricultural sector. In other projects, he has explored the impact of tariffs in the Indian solar industry and safety mandates in the Indian automobile industry.
