Shiva is a third year PhD student in the Computer Science department (Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences) at New York University. His interests in computer science lie in the areas of both networked mobile systems and data science. Shiva's research goals are to use techniques from both these domains to build systems for useful and practical applications. His end goals are to have such systems deployed in the real world for policy impact. Shiva collaborates with Rohini Pande and the EPoD India at IFMR team on the air pollution monitoring project in Delhi, in which we deploy low-cost monitors in the city, collect fine-grained data and build predictive models for spatio-temporal forecasting.
