Oluchi Mbonu is a PhD candidate in Economics at Harvard University. Her research focuses on urban transportation and development. She is interested in the organization and market structure of public transportation in developing countries and how this impacts its efficiency. Her current work also focuses on the job search behavior of casual workers in urban settings, and more broadly on how access to public transportation affects labor market outcomes.
Prior to starting her PhD program, Oluchi worked as an empirical research fellow at Stanford Law School. She received her BA in Mathematics and Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
