Marrit Teirlinck is a visiting scholar at EPoD. She is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Humboldt University of Berlin. Her research interests include topics at the intersection of behavioral economics, development economics, and public economics. As part of her dissertation, she studies how providing information on tax benefits for charitable giving alters donation behavior and what misperceptions individuals have regarding tax deductions. She also examines how charitable giving responds to humanitarian crises and what accounts for heterogeneity in responses, such as the role of media.
