Person Description
Layane Alhorr is a PhD Candidate in Public Policy at Harvard University. She is interested in research at the intersection of labor, behavioral, and development economics. At EPoD, Layane is exploring research on non-cognitive values in Saudi Arabia with Prof. Asim Khwaja, in addition to exploring work on refugees’ financial inclusion and integration in Jordan with Prof. Rema Hanna. Before starting her PhD, she worked at JPAL global at MIT then spent a year in Kenya working on digital financial inclusion projects. Layane holds a B.S. in Economics from the Lebanese American University and an MA in International and Development Economics from Yale University.
