Katy Doyle is the Director of Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) at Harvard Kennedy School. EPoD is a dynamic research initiative that brings analytical insights, typically from economics, to the design and implementation of public policies and programs around the world.
Since 2014 Katy has led the financial, administrative and organizational strategy, growing the team from 23 to over 50 people based at HKS and abroad. In her role now as the Director, Katy works in partnership with the faculty leadership to set the overall strategic and programmatic goals, including those of our fellows program, robust research portfolio, and events. She also oversees the operations and finances of EPoD.
Prior to coming to the Center for International Development, Katy worked at Management Sciences of Health (MSH) for several years, an international nonprofit organization that works directly with governments and communities to improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable. At MSH, Katy supported a portfolio of public health, leadership and management projects based in sub-Saharan Africa, South Asia and South-Central Asia. Katy also previously worked at the Legatum Center for Development & Entrepreneurship at MIT, at the European Parliament, and on a variety of international photography projects.
