Hongdi Zhao was a Research Fellow at EPoD working with Professor Rohini Pande on projects related to financial inclusion, environmental health, and women’s economic empowerment in India. Prior to joining EPoD, she worked as a research fellow at Cornell University, conducting field research in Tanzania on a savings-led financial inclusion project lead by CARE International. She was also one of the research members at Cornell Student Multidisciplinary Applied Research Team Program, working on entrepreneurship development strategy for the Foundation for the Mid-south. Previously, she volunteered in India and Kenya and interned with a Pan-African Bank in Tanzania and the United Nations Environment Programme in Kenya. Hongdi holds an MPA in International Development from Cornell University and a B.S in Statistics from China.
