Freida Siregar was a Program Manager at Evidence for Policy Design, where she oversaw the management of Rema Hanna’s research portfolio and provides human subjects support for EPoD faculty. She is now pursuing a Masters in Public Administration and International Development at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Prior to joining EPoD, Freida spent five years at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab in Southeast Asia (J-PAL SEA). At J-PAL SEA in Jakarta, Indonesia, Freida handled multiple research, policy, capacity building and management responsibilities. In her last position as Policy Manager, she worked on building relationships with policy counterparts, disseminating evidence, and incubating research to address critical policy questions. Freida has also worked as a Research Associate on a randomized evaluation investigating supply- and demand-side solutions to leakages in Indonesia's Raskin program, a subsidised rice program for low-income households. The evaluation was a joint study with the Indonesian government, who scaled up the intervention nationally to reach 65.67 million people. Freida holds a BA in International Affairs from Universitas Indonesia.
