Martin Abel is a 5th year Ph.D. candidate in Public Policy at Harvard University and will be on the job market 2016-2017. His research interests are in development economics, labor economics, and behavioral economics. He is conducting field experiments focusing on topics of information asymmetries and discrimination in labor markets. He works in cooperation with the governments of South Africa and Saudi Arabia on how to improve employment prospects of unemployed youths and women. Martin received a Diploma in Economics from the University of Jena and an MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School.
