Research Fellow, US Health Policy

Cambridge, MA

EPoD is currently seeking a research fellow to work with Professor Amitabh Chandra at Harvard University to provide inputs at all stages of the academic research process: background research and funding applications, data acquisition and cleaning, analysis, write-ups of results, and paper revision. The fellow will perform analysis on health data in order to develop research topics related to costs and outcomes in the US healthcare sector.

Description: The position offers an opportunity to work closely with economists doing empirical research in top-tier academic institutions. The Research Fellow will collaborate with the Principal Investigator (PI) and others on the analysis of large data sets related to US health policy.

Responsibilities: Rigorous statistical analysis; cleaning and managing large datasets; writing project reports and contributing to academic papers.

Qualifications: Bachelors/Masters in economics with strong quantitative background; prior research assistant experience preferred; proficiency programming in Stata; graduate-level coursework a plus.
