Opportunities for post-doctoral researchers
Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) at Harvard's Center for International Development is a program that brings together a team of researchers who share a commitment to using analytical tools to answer pressing policy questions and create real-world change. By explicitly considering the objectives and constraints of policy actors, we aim to gain a fuller understanding of how to effectively achieve desired outcomes. We inform public policy by working alongside policymakers to design and test interventions that will maximize the impact of public resources and more effectively deliver services to the poor. Current areas of research include education, entrepreneurship, pollution regulation, access to finance, health, agriculture, tax administration, and governance.
For post-doctoral researchers with research interests in close alignment with our faculty, EPoD can serve as a fertile base for developing research ideas and collaboration. We are actively seeking self-funded researchers with a PhD in Economics or related field who would be interested in a period of residence at our program at Harvard Kennedy School. Visiting researchers will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with researchers at EPoD and across Harvard. Through its location at Harvard Kennedy School, EPoD also offers visiting researchers a wide range of opportunities to participate in seminars and working groups in development economics and other related topics.
Candidates will be selected upon their academic achievement and fit with the research goals of the EPoD faculty. This program is open to both U.S. and international scholars.
If you are interested, please send your CV and a brief statement of interest (500 words or less) to EPoD@hks.harvard.edu.
