Martin Rotemberg was a visiting scholar at EPoD in the 2015-16 year. In 2016, he started as an Assistant Professor of Economics at New York University. He primarily studies structural transformation and growth. His dissertation focused on measuring the aggregate effects of government subsidies for small firms in India. He also works on using text-analysis methods in order to study the effects of transparency on central bank deliberations. Prior to joining EPoD, he received his Ph.D. from Harvard Business School and his B.A. from Williams College.
