Karrar Hussain

Karrar Hussain was a research fellow at Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD) working with Michael Callen and Charlie Sprenger on the optimization of public sector wage contracts in Pakistan using preference parameter estimates. His research interests include development theory and policy, experimental economics, and international macroeconomics. His recent research encompasses two areas: the evaluation of human capital investments in relation to marriage institutions using experimental interventions and the assessment of time consistency issues in individual versus group settings.

Karrar is currently a PhD. student in Economics at the University of Southern California.  At USC, Karrar has worked with Prof. Hashem Pesaran on Counterfactual Analysis in Macroeconometrics. He holds a Masters in Public Administration-International Development (MPA-ID) from Harvard Kennedy School.
