HKS Researchers Assist With Public Data Portal In India

Recent advances in technology and storage capacity have led to the creation of huge datasets that could potentially serve as solid foundations for evidence-based, intelligently designed public policy. However, much of this data sits in storage. For data to be useful it must be accessible – researchers and policymakers must be able to search the data easily based on specific indicators. How can government ministries initiate the creation of such interfaces?

Recent BCURE Policy Design conference completed, March 21st

On March 20th and 21st at the National School of Public Policy in Lahore, Pakistan, over 130 participants, including high-ranking civil servants from various departments, academics from Harvard Kennedy School, Pomona College, LSE, MIT and Lahore University of Management Sciences, came together for a two-day dialogue on Civil Service Reform in Pakistan, as part of EPoD’s Building the Capacity to Use Research Evidence (BCURE) program.

EPoD Launches Executive Education Program on Financial Inclusion

Forty five participants from 29 countries will take part in "Rethinking Financial Inclusion: Smart Design for Policy and Practice, a new Executive Education program at Harvard Kennedy School. The program will focus on frameworks for smart design of financial inclusion products and policies.

Faculty co-Chairs Rohini Pande and Asim Ijaz Khwaja, co-directors of Evidence for Policy Design (EPoD), developed the program, which will feature lectures by Harvard faculty, field researchers, and financial inclusion experts.
